Checking out Bali!

Everyone, and I mean pretty much EVERYONE in Perth has been to Bali. It’s like a right of passage. You aren’t really a Perth person unless you’ve gone to Bali. Matt and I finally decided to give it a go. Now every man and his dog had an opinion of where and when we should go to Bali. What we should see. Where the “tourists” go. So on and so forth. I figured as it was our first time in Bali, and all we really wanted was some time beside a pool to relax a bit, we’d base ourselves in Kuta and just check that out. It so damn cheap to get there that we knew we’d go back and check out the more “traditional” Bali. So off we went!

We flew tiger return for less than $300. Such a bargain!! Nothing fancy, but you can’t expect much for those prices. We were happy. We were staying at the Pullman Legian – halfway between Kuta and Seminyak. Hopefully far enough away from Kuta so it wasn’t too noisy and close enough to Seminyak so we could enjoy some fancy restaurants.

We spent the majority of the time doing exactly as we planned: enjoying our infinity pool, the delicious food and the fun markets.

We only had one adventure day: we went ATV-ing in Ubud, followed by a visit to the Monkey Forest. It was an excellent day! We got a great deal from Martin Sasi at MBA Bali Tours and Travel. If you want to book this or something similar, contact him on his facebook!

It was an amazing relaxing time, and I can’t wait to go back!!
