Matt had been hearing about all my fishing and kayaking trips while he was gone and wanted to join the fun, so we trekked down to Papa Bear’s house and took the kayaks out on the Basin for some fishing good times.

Now Matt is usually terrible with animals. I mean that in the nicest way, but I had never seen him catch a fish, feed a wild animal or even get along with friends pets. But today was his day! He was the ONLY one of us who caught a fish. A nice little dusky flathead! Go Matt!

Look how happy he is, reeling it in! Matty had his first self caught flatty for dinner. It was only JUST legal – not something my Dad would usually let us keep, but Matty needed the glory! Haha. Go team!
