Have you heard of Ilha Grande? It’s an island off the state of Rio de Janeiro. A 3 hour drive from Rio city, and a 30 minute boat ride will get you there. On Ilha Grande you’ll find a beautiful wild paradise. The island itself is ringed by beaches and has jungle within its depths. There are no cars on Ilha Grande, so you’ll be forced to relax and enjoy your time amongst the beautiful shades of blue and green.

Me, Matt and a group of amazing friends spent 4 luxurious days on Ilha Grande, island hopping, beach discovering and scuba diving. I wish I could describe in words the beauty of the island… but I kinda suck at writing… so here are 17 photos that will have island hopping over the Ilha Grande before this post is out!

Finding our own paradise.
Exploring high and low.
We didn’t have to share this with anyone.
Why yes, I do enjoy long walks along the beach

Of course a spot of scuba diving never goes astray
